The World Beyond: Leaving teaching

"The World Beyond: Leaving Teaching" is an upcoming podcast series that documents my decision to leave the world of teaching in the UK and find a career that brings satisfaction and happiness.

More and more teachers are choosing to leave the profession every year. It's not an easy decision to make,  by any means; teaching is an all-encompassing profession that impacts every facet of your being, from your mental health to social life. To leave that world behind after spending so long in it, you might feel that you are incapable of doing anything else.

This series plans to cover the whole process of leaving, from discussions around the why, the steps to take and the questions to ask yourself along the way. I hope to bring guests onto the show who can share their own experiences, or even offer guidance and advice to anyone else who feels this way.
